Day Four- Saturday, 4/1/17

Finally I have a handle on the phone alarm. Spent most of the early morning after I awoke checking the maps to get to the airport tomorrow morning (looks easy), and then how to get out of the Renaissance long term parking (looks not so easy).
Will arrive at LA Fitness around 8am and do a final, long, and relaxing workout.

On the run from LA Fitness 810am. 55th North to Union Hills, West to behind 67th, South to Bell, and back- 44" (comfortable speed). A 60 degree dry cool; very nice! Very sunny- like this all day. This balmy dryness certainly has its' appeal. Not anything like a high sixty degree day in Springfield. I used the mp3 player today. 45" Recumbent Bike (Lily White). 45" Cross (Songs For A Tailor). 30" Walk. 3.6/0. 30" Recumbent Bike.

I got a round of applause from the ladies and gentlemen in the steamroom. A woman poured warm water on the vent, and the steam didn't kick on. I said that it was too warm to register, and that I'd get some cooler water from the pool. It worked, and almost a 'standing O'. A couple of ten minute visits to the steam room and dips in the whirlpool and pool. This is the REAL Paradise Lane!

1pm- Paradise Ln. A new helper- African, and she is actually named 'Patience' ; meaning tolerant or receiving medical care- I guess either definition works, but it's pretty odd. It seemed that she spend the entire afternoon on her phone on a a visual chat with her boyfriend, but she was responsive to the asylum, and seemed professional. She only works the 3rd shift on Saturdays and she said that she worked at a big rest home, but she didn't give the name.

Lannie was there and they were having a late lunch. I think it was veal parmesan, green peas, chocolate cake, and salad. I was offered a plate, but everything looked cooked to death and beyond and I played the vegetarian card.  Lannie left to take a nap. She had been up all night and needed to recharge. At 2pm Patience loaded him into the Yaris and we headed to 9818 Pineaire Dr.

It's not very far if you take Thunderbird west, and when we got to the house he wanted me to take his sweater off. I pulled off directly across from his house and got out of the car to remove the sweater. Within 30 seconds a car pulled up behind me. I was blocking their drive. They scampered into the house before I could ask them if they remembered ,"Ken".  I took a few pictures and the house is radically different. A brand new fenced off sitting patio in the front. Looks great.

We stopped at the McD's on Thunderbird and 43rd for the daily cheeseburger and vanilla cone. He took a couple of licks on the ice cream and said it was too much. I inhaled the cheeseburger and dropped the bag of cone and paper in the can next to the store and head back to his house.

I sat with Patience while she was on the phone and I watched ID- tv. Checked the results on the missing person cases before the show ended.

During the TV Time I noticed the horses in the backyard. As I was going in that direction, I knocked her phone out of her hand. No damage, but it was weird. She spent the whole time looking at him on her phone, and he was looking at her, and they were talking in broken English.  Maybe they don't share the same language.

I sent the pix of the horses to Janny and she responded immediately.

520pm- I made my final exit for Spring 2017. Lannie put him in the wheelchair and brought him out to the car. He was yelling, "Get me out of here", but I kind of hugged him, and hit the highway.

Hit the Shell station on Bell back to the motel for a six of Natural Ice and $13 worth of gas. Won't that be nice if tomorrow's issue at the car rental is not the idiot light, but the fact that there is not enough gas in the tank. Kay Sera, Sera.whatever will fucking be....

Tonight looks like an ocean of beer, and cheese and tortillas with dicey lettuce. I wanna go home!!!!

At about 745pm I was kicked off the Motel 6 internet and had no trouble getting back on, but I'm leaving at 530am tomorrow, who gets my unused hours? Fuck em.

8pm- The TV will be on. and, BLACK FLAG- 'ain't got nothin' to do, TV party tonight'
